It has been almost two years since one of regional Australia’s biggest icons was lost.
The Conargo Pub burned down in 2014 but new owners are finally in the process of rebuilding.
Charlie White and his brother, Bob White, expect to have their development application approved within the next week.
Tender for a builder will be out in a month and work could start as early as two months with bricks donated from an old homestead.
“It’s a big part of the community … it brought a lot of people to town,” Mr White said.
