After taking part in different car rally’s around the area, event organiser Gavin Gilbert thought it was time to put on his own and give the proceeds to a local charity to keep the money within the community.
There will be 32 cars taking part with drivers coming from all over the country from Ballarat and Melbourne to Coffs Harbour.
The rally will be a five-day mystery trip with a starting point of Darlington Point before heading north to West Wyalong along dirt roads before finishing in Wagga.
“They will turn up here next Friday for a meet and greet and then leave Saturday morning and do 2500 km,” he said.
“We will aim to do roughly 500km-a-day and will end up back in Wagga for the presentation.”
The rally so far has raised around $100,000 and is expected to rise with two cars set to be sold off during the adventure.
