We welcomed three guests who, along with our members, enjoyed learning a new skill - knitting with Plarn. Plarn is made from recycled plastic bags.
Our agricultural and environmental officer, Cate Hardy, had lots of information and instruction sheets.
Members had brought along lots of plastic bags of all colours and big jumbo knitting needles.
The cultural topics for 2017-2018 information sheets were handed out.
Congratulations went to our Margaret Sheppard to mark her 95th birthday and her 54 years of service to CWA.
In our informal meeting we need “to touch base” on catering arrangements for the Sturt Group International Day to be held at Coleambally on Friday, August 4 at the Youth Hall.
We are to sell Devonshire Teas at the Vintage Machinery Rally at the Lions’ Park on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13.
Scones and helpers are still needed.
Please contact secretary Julie Wiltshire if you can assist.
Our members discussed the White Paper on CWA of NSW Structure and we recorded some ideas and thoughts.
Members who were not able to attend our July meeting may still respond individually.
Our next meeting will be on Friday, August 11 at the Coleambally Community Club when disbursement of funds will be on the agenda and also CWA Awareness Day in September.
