Mercedes took on Jaguar in the 5pm game, Jaguar had the upper hand in the first half of the game looking like they had a strangle hold on the game.
Things changed after the break when Mercedes sent their female members over the line on a number of occasions making the game even at 10-all when the siren rang.
With an extra two minutes being added on and one less player for each side returning to the field both sides continued their tussle with no result, therefore two more minutes were added and one less player for each side play continued, Mercedes found the line, Jaguar then had the ball but couldn’t do anything with it allowing Mercedes take the win.
Try scorers for the game included George Payne, Mark Jay, Dusty Chirgwin for Jaguar and Lachlan Fattore, Samuel Fattore, Joe Rossato, Isabella Burnett and Danielle Mannes for Mercedes.
The second semi finished the same way as the first game in a draw when the siren ran however this was a very low scoring game with both side only going over the try line once.
The extra time and the drop off rule took place but there was still no result, therefore another two minutes started with more players dropped off and finally Jack Blackett for the BMW side went in for a try the final score being 2 to 1, Jack and Danny Brain were the only try scorers for the game.
The games were officiated by Thomas and Josh Fattore in a professional and encouraging manner, the committee appreciates their willingness to help out in this role.
The grand final will take place this Thursday, December 7 h at 6pm.
After the game a presentation and sausage sizzle will take place all members are welcome to come down to support the teams and have a sausage.
