Firefighters responded to the blaze off Burchers Road on Saturday at 6am. At it’s peak, the fire had spread across four hectares before being contained shortly after 8am. RFS are currently blacking out any remaining hot spots.
In what proved to be part of a busy weekend for the Rural Fire Service across the state, firefighters were called out to a grass fire at Darlington Point on Sunday at 12:30pm.
The fire was less than a hectare in size and was contained by Darlington Point RFS shortly after 1pm.
As the heatwave sweeps across the state, members of the public should also regularly visit the Rural Fire Service website at www.rfs.nsw.gov.au for updated bush fire warnings and information.
