After winning the toss and batting, Coly’s Bryce Rogers and Sam Breed made a great start for Coleambally with an opening stand of 41 runs.

The issues for Coleambally came after the wicket of Bryce Rogers (26), who fell to the bowling of Michael Cudmore, with the side missing some key players it fell to Breed to score the bulk of the runs.

Oscar Nolan (2/6) and Jackson Hasson (3/12) did the damage with the ball for Leagues, but they were unable to get the prized wicket of Breed who finished not out on 43 to see his side finish their 20 overs on 7/95.

While Joel Harris (10) gave the Panthers a good start they weren’t able to find middle-order batsmen to hang around as Hasson (18) and Noah Gaske (10) were the only other batsmen to make double figures with Hannah Clark (3/12) doing the damage as Coly came away with a 17-run win

In the battle between first and third on the third-grade ladder, Exies and Coro faced off.

Jack Hutchinson and Lucas Conlan got their side off to a decent start with a 19-run opening partnership before Ryan Bock (1/15) dismissed Hutchinson (11).

The highly credentialed duo of Conlan and Dean Bennett put their heads down and pushed their past the 50-mark before Conlan (24) fell to the bowling of Kokulan Kandeepan (1/10).

Issac Testoni (0) followed closely behind after he was knocked over by Connor Bock before Kyle Bennett came out to join his brother Dean and the pair added 31 runs before Kyle (17) was bowled by Mason Ashcroft (1/13).

Dean played the aggressor in the later stages of the innings as he was able to get to fifty and retire before his side reach the 20 over mark on 5/128.

Exies made a tough start with James Roche (0) falling to the bowling of Ben Signor (2/12), but Hayden Forner (16) was able to keep his side’s score ticking over. Connor Bock (10) and Aditha Jayasuriya (18) were the only other batsmen who made it to double figures as Exies reached 8/93 off 20 overs to see the Cougars come away with a 35-run victory.
