Discovering New Horizons
With the recent arrival of four smart TVs and Chromecasting technology through Vivi, St Peter’s Primary School students and teachers are well equipped to use technology as a learning tool.
Vivi is a technology solution for the modern classroom. Designed exclusively for teachers and students, Vivi’s screen mirroring and digital signage technology transforms the classroom into an interactive, collaborative learning space for both teacher and student.
These new devices ensure that students become more engaged and will make for seamless learning throughout the day.
There is also the added new technology of Chromebooks, which have a long-life battery that will last throughout the school day without charging.
Students can create, share and edit files together in real time, with their work automatically safely stored in the cloud.
These new devices add to the St Peter’s suite of learning technologies used to enhance learning.

Part of parish
Caring for the whole child is an important aspect of life at St Peter’s.
We set time apart from the ordinary to focus on nurturing and strengthening the spiritual, weaving our Christian faith into all that we do.
Vibrant liturgies and masses are integral parts of celebrations in our community. Our children not only have the opportunity to attend mass together, but also to participate in the Sacraments - First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation – is important.
Where every family is valued
Evidence suggests that creating an environment where children and their families feel valued, accepted and respected for who and what they are, enhances feelings of belonging and connectedness.
Children who feel like they belong in their school are more likely to develop a strong sense of identity, a positive sense of self and strong relationships with others and in turn, thrive.
At St Peter’s each family is valued and appreciated as part of our school community – we do not enrol students, instead we welcome families into our community.
It is a small change in language, but this shift in thinking has a big impact on the feeling of belonging we want each family to experience.
St Peter’s to host activities
CATHOLIC schools across the region will open their doors to families, friends and community members to celebrate Catholic Schools Week 2018, from Sunday, March 4 to Saturday, March 10.
The theme for the Diocese of Wagga Wagga is “Catholic schools: We are greater together”, focusing on forging and strengthening relationships with local communities.
"Catholic Schools have been a major component of Australian education for the past 175 years,” St Peter’s Primary School principal Brian Conroy said.
“We believe we should be preparing our students to take their place in a society that is ever changing. We endeavour to produce young people who are creative, critical, cultured, compassionate and courageous, and are able to demonstrate that in their daily lives.”
St Peter’s Coleambally will host activities throughout the week, including open classrooms, a shared barbecue lunch with students and families and whole school assembly on Friday from 10:30am.
Catholic Schools Week (CSW) also marks the start of the 2018 enrolment period for Catholic Schools across the Diocese of Wagga Wagga. Visit enrol.ww.catholic.edu.au to start your journey with Catholic Education today.
