Our branch won the trophy for the most cookery entries with members Vicki Mannes, Cate Hardy and Julie Wiltshire taking our first prizes at the Hay contest on March 5.
Hay local schools scooped the pool with a massive 34 plates of giant Anzac biscuits so there is a challenge for our local schools to beat that next year.
The handicraft exhibition, ably arranged by our member Teresa Stewart and her helpers, was most successful with 118 entries of the most beautiful work. Coleambally-Argoon was placed equal third with Bulloak after Berrigan and Jerilderie.
Our excursion to Altina Wildlife Park is on Saturday, March at 9.30am. We sadly farewelled Kim Cartledge, who is relocating to Nowra.
Members were reminded to bring to the April meeting items for our static display of baby wear and patterns from 1960 to the present for the 50th anniversary celebrations.
