The final announcement was made on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Brown says he feels honoured to have the support of the community.

“It’s very humbling. I went up against some very worthy candidates and I feel quite privileged,” he said.
Among his priorities are bringing more industry into Coleambally and prioritising road upgrades.
”The thorn in every one’s side is the roads, the infrastructure just hasn’t caught up with technology – it’s about finding grant money to upgrade our roads,” he said.
“I’ve got the time, so I just hope I can display enough enthusiasm to get the right outcomes for everyone across the council area.”
In the lead up to the by-election, Mr Brown also spoke about the importance of providing a future for Coly’s children.
“If we don’t have kids in the town, we don’t have a town at all. We’ve got to promote employment,” he said.
