MIA residents sweltered through a hot day and night on Saturday, with the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) issuing a fire weather on Sunday morning.

The warning is current for much of NSW, including the Southern Slopes and Eastern Riverina fire areas.
Hot, dry and windy conditions will develop over much of the state on Sunday ahead of a trough and associated cold front.
In Leeton, the temperature was already 28 degrees at 7am, with the expected top on Sunday 32 degrees after a warm 35 on Saturday.
Griffith is expected a high of 33 degrees on Sunday, with Coleambally also predicted to reach 32.
It has been another dry month so far, with very little rain falling across the three towns in 2018.

The forecast for the working week is for more mild temperatures across the MIA, with cooler nights also expected.
However, there is still very little rain being predicted for the region.

The BoM said no further warnings will be issued for this event, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings issued if necessary.
