“The win feels really good. It was just really rewarding. We weren’t too sure what kind of side we were going to have in terms of numbers.”
Herbert credits the win to their strong start.
“We had the majority of people turn up. Just based on preparation before the game. We were really mentally prepared. It’s been really good to go out there and start really well,” he said.
“There were a couple of times where they got really close, but we dug deep.”
He also paid tribute to his opponents.
“They were a really good side. They were a completely different side to the one we faced at the start of the season, really strong forward.”
Herbert said the last few wins have put the side in good stead for the finals.
“We need to keep building. We’re getting excited to sit at where we are. We want to keep that rolling on. We owe them a bit for beating us last time. We want to put everything on the line.”
