The proposal for the final stage of the $431 million redevelopment is going on public display and members of the public are being given the chance to comment.
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said stage three of the redevelopment would include an ambulatory care building for rehabilitation, mental health, aged care and dialysis treatment; car parking for an additional 107 cars, and ground level and bridge connections to existing buildings.
“The State Significant Development (SSD) proposal for stage three is on public exhibition until August 15 and it’s your chance to get online and have your say,” Mr Hazzard said.
“Stage one delivered 30 additional mental health beds and was completed in 2013.
“Stage two delivered the acute services building including a new emergency department, operating theatres, women’s and children’s inpatient units, new ICU and a rooftop helipad – completed in 2016.”
The contract for stage three construction works is expected to be awarded by the end of this year.
