Organisers had this year decided to try and change up the program a bit in order to keep the community interested and wanting to take part.
Included among the activities was an outdoor movie night, delicious eats and treats, rock climbing, traditional games and activities and much more.
Fete co-ordinator Julie Bellato said around 250 people turned out for the event.
“We were happy with that number considering we knew we would have eight families away from the school on that night,” she said.
“This year we changed the time of year we were holding the fete and added new events within it.
“The movie night was one of those and it was great. It was all set up so well and everyone had a great time.”

Adding to flair and fun during the movie screening was a special VIP section where those who had purchased tickets for that area were able to get comfortable and text through their food and drink orders, which were then delivered to them to enjoy throughout the film.
Mrs Bellato said she had received plenty of positive feedback about the fete and was hopeful the changes would continue to grow the crowd in coming years.
“Hopefully we can keep building on it from here,” she said.
The fete was open to all members of the community, with proceeds from the event to go towards enhancing the school.
The school’s current play equipment doesn’t comply with WHS requirements and is more than a decade old.
As a result, the school will be consulting with parents, staff and students about what they would like to see instead.
A contractor who has done work for other schools throughout the region will be used to help facilitate the ideas.
“We wanted to do something that’s going to be more than just play equipment,” Mrs Bellato said.
“There may still be play equipment included, but maybe there will be other things like a bush garden and outdoor learning areas.”
The school has also thanked the many sponsors who got on board the event.
