Coleambally Irrigation Cooperative Ltd (CICL), in conjunction with the Country Education Foundation of Coleambally-Darlington Point, is offering a scholarship for students studying engineering in 2019.
The students need not necessarily be in the first year of their engineering course.
The students would apply for a CEF CDP education grant for 2019 and if successful in being awarded a CICL Grant Latta Bonded Scholarship will be funded by CICL on the following basis:
If the recipient is a first year student, they will receive $5000 for that year, increasing to $7500 for the remainder of the course. If the recipient is a second, third or fourth year student, they will receive $7500 for that year and the remainder of the course.
The recipient will receive their scholarship funds through CEF CDP on the provision of invoices or receipts for expenses relating to their study – for example, accommodation, texts, specialist equipment, travel.
The recipient would be required to work for CICL for a period of time during the main summer and winter vacations each year. They would be paid for this work. They would be required to work for CICL post- graduation for a period of three years (dependent on application). If the recipient chose not to work for CICL, or leave during the three-year period, they would be required to refund the scholarship or a portion thereof.
The recipient can study at any university and be required to make satisfactory progress throughout the course.
