After winning the toss, the Hanwood side made a strong start with Micheal Crosato (31) and Neil Geltch (13) putting on 49 runs before the side lost five wickets for four runs with Cameron Harrison (2/22) and Lyle Campbell (2/24) picking up two wickets each.
With the innings on a knife’s edge at 5/53, Leon Tiere and Harry Rowston but got their side’s innings back on track with a 50-run stand before Tiere (28) and Kym Wheeler (0) fell in the same over.
Rowston (28) kept the score ticking over before he and Trevor Cowie (8) fell in quick succession to leave Chris Barbagallo (4*) and Sam Robinson (13*) to close out their 40 overs on 9/148.
Exies were able to get off to a decent start with Josh Davis (7) and Scott Campbell (16) putting on 22 for the opening wicket.
Exies had plenty of batsmen get starts early in the game with Cameron Arnold (17) and Jonathon Streat (25) making starts in the middle order despite the bowling of Crosato (3/21) and Geltch (2/42) proving hard to deal with.
Late runs from Cameron Harrison (31*) was able to guide his side to victory with just six balls remaining.
Meanwhile across town at Collina Oval, Coro and Leagues weren’t able to get a result due to the wet weather. Before the rain struck, Leagues got off to a good start with a 37-run opening partnership between Ted Jones and Teao Woetai before the pair were dismissed by Dion Pascoe.
Leagues' middle order struggled to make an impact with Mitchell Williams-Hedges (1/11) dismissing Kierren Williams (2), Andrew McIntyre (1/36) taking the wicket of Teei Piawi (7) and Pascoe (3/25) took the wicket of Junior Makuare (0).
Suki Singh (43*) looked to be on track to reach a half-century before it was deemed to dangerous for play to continue to see the game brought to a close with Leagues on 5/101.
Diggers forfeited their game against Coleambally.
