The Exies side was able to make a strong start after winning the toss and electing to bat with Dan Brady and Travers Pickmere putting on 40 runs for the first wicket.
The introduction of Luke Catanzariti (4/16) into the attack saw Exies hit a snag as Brady (20), Pickmere (18), Jay Mitchell (0) and Rodney Bordin (1) fell to the bowling Catanzariti while Kym Wheeler (2/20) took the wicket of Jeff Power (1).
Scott Campbell (15), Adam Waide (26) and Jimmy Mann (27) helped lift their side to a finishing total of 9/133.
Hanwood struggled to make an inroad as Waide (3/5), and Daniel Duckworth (2/12) did the damage early before Bordin (2/20) and Power (2/10) ended Hanwood’s chances.
Bradyn Challis (14) was the only Hanwood batsmen to post double digits as they were bowled out for 57.
Leagues were able to keep in touching distance with a convincing win over Coro. Despite a slow start Teei Piawi (11) and Daniel Bozic were able to get their side into a good position before Conor Edenden (31) and Babar Safdar (29*) add late runs.
Dion Pascoe (2/30), Andrew McIntyre (2/31) and Jack Hutchinson (2/25) did the damage with the ball as the Panthers finished on 8/134.
It was a tough start for the Cougars as they lost 4/4 in the opening five overs with Fawad Shah (2/5) taking the crucial wicket of Justin Moat.
Hutchinson and Pascoe (23) tried to get their side back on, but after a 44-run stand, the fall of Hutchinson (13) saw Coro in trouble again with Piawi (4/10) finishing his day with three quick wickets to secure a 70-run win for the Panthers.
In the final game of the round Diggers took on Coleambally in the battle for third. Sam Breed (2/15) bowled well for the Nomads in the opening overs before Richard Watts (16), Danny Dossiter (33) and Neil Casey (15*) fought back for the Diggers to see them reach 8/125 off their 40 overs.
Dossiter (3/23) backed up his performance with the bat, and despite the effort of Chris Hayes (28), Sam Casey (16) and Ben Smith (16) the Nomads were bowled out for 97 to give Diggers a 28-run win.
