After winning the toss and electing to bat, Hanwood made a strong start through Jordan Whitworth and Oliver Bartter.
The opening pair were able to put on 17 before James Clarke (2/9) struck to remove Whitworth (9) and Liam Gilbert (1) in quick succession while Zac DeMamiel (0) was run out to see Hanwood sitting on 3/33.
The fall of wickets around Bartter did little to deter him as he pressed on alongside Angus Bartter to lift their side past the 100-mark.
Oliver (54 ret) did the bulk of the scoring before being forced to retire with Angus Bartter and Harry Rowston picking up the scoring.
When Angus Bartter (15) was run out, and Harry Rowston (22) was bowled by Chase Neutze (1/20) the Hanwood side had already put a formidable total on the board to reach 6/128 when they reached the end of their 20 overs.
The Nomads made a good start at the top of the order with James Buchanan and Hannah Clark putting on 25 runs for the first wicket.
Trouble struck when Buchanan (12) was dismissed by Inham Ullah (1/8) it saw the Nomads lose 5/25 with Oliver Bartter picking up the wickets of Clark (3) and Thomas Munn (1) while Whitworth (1/3) took the wicket of Simon Toscan (7) and Angus Brown (1/13) dismissed Neutze (0).
James Clarke (15) and Ben Fattore (15) looked to lead a fightback for the Nomads however after the pair put on 38 runs the introduction of Sam Robinson (3/5) brought the downfall of the Coleambally side as they lost their final five wickets for 16 runs to be bowled out for 104.
Second-placed Coro will also head into the break with confidence after picking up a seven-wicket win over Leagues.
The Panthers made a solid start to their innings with Joel Harris and Harshbir Singh putting on 55 runs for the first wicket before Ben Signor (1/1) removed Singh (19) while Noah Kirkman (1/11) dismissed Harris (29).
Unfortunately for the Leagues side their remaining batsmen weren’t able to get starts as Joseph Bellicanta (2/1) took the wickets of Hamish Gunn (6) and Michael Cudmore (8) in successive deliveries while Josh Smith ran out Fergus Shelton (0) with the final ball of the innings to see the Panthers finish on 5/72 after 20 overs.
The Cougars were largely untroubled in their chase with Josh Smith (25) and Kyle Bennett (26*) seeing their side pick up the seven-wicket win with 4.2 overs remaining. The third-grade season will resume on February 2.
