Given the tricky conditions, Coleambally won the toss and elected to bowl and hand the Hanwood side a tough challenge.
Jordan Whitworth and Angus Bartter fell in quick succession with Sam Casey (1/17) picking up Whitworth (5) while Bartter (0) fell to Sam Breed to see Hanwood struggling on 2/6.
Luke Shannon and Gavin Wylie tried to rebuild their innings however after a 14-run partnership trouble struck again with Luke Roberts taking the wicket of Shannon (15) and Bradyn Challis (4) while Breed (2/7) picked up the wicket of Wylie (2).
The Hanwood side continued to lose wickets in clumps as with the score on 41, Roberts stuck again to take three quick wickets with Sam Robinson (8) and Luke Catanzariti (3) while Shaun Iddles took the wicket of Trevor Cowie (0).
Jamie Whitworth and Shannon Caughey (6*) added some late runs for the Hanwood side however when Roberts (6/16) returned to complete his strong performance with the ball as he dismissed Whitworth (10) and Chris Barbagallo (0) to see Hanwood bowled out for 61 in 22.3 overs.
Sometimes the small totals can be the more difficult to chase down, but the Nomads wasted no time in reaching the target.
Jack Weymouth-Smith (34*) and Iddles (25*) made sure their side would take confidence into the holiday season as they chased down the target with 31.3 overs remaining.
The weather in Griffith meant that the other two games between Exies and Leagues out at Hanwood and Coro and Diggers at Exies No 2 were both abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The Exies side remains on top heading into Christmas as they sit three points ahead of Leagues while Coro is sitting on the edge of the top four as they sit nine points behind Diggers.
The season will know pause for three weeks before the season gets back underway on Saturday January 12 with Exies taking on Hanwood, Coly face off with Leagues and Diggers take on Hanwood.
