The Nomads did a great job with the ball to restrict Exies to 101 off 26 overs with only Dan Brady (14), Cameron Harrison (31), Adam Waide (10) and Gavin Woods (21) break double digits.
Shaun Iddles (3/31) was the pick of the bowlers for Coleambally while Sam Breed (2/23) and James Clarke chipped in with two wickets each.
While Dan Duckworth (3/26) was able to take early wickets, the Nomads came away with a six-wicket win thanks to Neil Burke (31), Cooper Smith (14*) and Sam Casey (40*) contributing with the bat.
Diggers were also able to knock over a top side in Leagues when the side’s met on Friday night and after winning the toss and electing to bat, the Panthers made a strong start with Teei Piawi and Derek Opo putting on 36 runs for the first wicket before Brian Corner dismissed Piawi (29).
Dan Bozic (17) and Connor Edenden (13) where the only other Leagues batsmen to get starts while Opo (51*) carried the bat to see Leagues finish on 5/129.
Leagues made a good start with the ball with Shae Prudham dismissing Favell (1) while Piawi (1/8) took the wicket of Brendan Wade.
Mick Duncan (62) would be the thorn in the side for the Panthers and alongside contributions from Brett Owen (22) and Dean Browning (11) saw Diggers stay in the contest. Two late wickets to Babar Safdar (2/6) put the pressure back on Diggers, Corner was able to bring the game to a close with a four to see Diggers win by one wicket with six balls remaining.
The only came to follow the form guide saw Coro come away with a victory against Hanwood. While Angus Bartter (3/47) made an impact for Hanwood, Coro was lead by captain Justin Moat (73) who alongside Andrew McIntyre (49*) and Adam Badham (26*) helped their side reach 7/227 after 40 overs.
Only Morgan Tiere (46) and Bradyn Challis (52) got starts for Hanwood in their attempts to chase down the massive target with Josh Smith (3/35), John Witherspoon (2/15) and Jack Hutchinson (2/27) doing the damage with the ball to give Coro a 55-run win.
The Nomads will take on Diggers in two weeks as the competition takes a break over the Australia Day weekend.
