Meanwhile over 4000 cod and 4000 yellow belly fingerlings were released after being donated by NSW fisheries Australia alongside 5000 cod fingerlings donated Murray Cod Australia.
Competition president Matthew Lashbrook said it’s more fish donated than in previous years which he hopes will be allowed to develop into river giants, as long as people fish legally.
A total of 290 fish caught and photographed with the title of Senior Champion Angler going to Corey Roche and the junior title going to Levi Huges.
The biggest fish was caught by Joshua Mott who pulled in a 91 cm Murray cod while Hans Peter Lhota scored a 70cm carp.
