The girls made it two from two with a 20-12 win over Victoria in Albury on Saturday.
A late try proved to be the difference and coach Dean Whymark is pleased with how the team’s transition.
“It’s been positive,” Whymark said.
“The girls are learning the game as we don’t have a regular competition but it shows we do have the talent.”
Whymark was pleased with how they have handled the more physical game.
“We do a lot of work on being physical and they are learning to take contact and what you need to be able to play rugby league,” he said.
“They are certainly able to do it.”
Combined with an earlier trial win against Monaro, Whymark now has a few difficult decisions to make with the squad to be from 25 to 18 for the start of the Country Championships against Newcastle on March 9.
