June was well known around Coly and was especially dear to her fellow parishioners of Saint Marks Anglican Guild including her best friend Anne Shaw.
Of her passions June especially loved cutting plants and cooking for the guild’s street stall events.
In particular June’s chrysanthemums, sponge cakes, and ginger fluffs were the talk of the town according to her daughter Wendy.
“Mum and dad had a wonderful life in semi-retirement, they traveled around Australia in dad’s camping ute which wasn’t mum’s favorite way to travel but she did it,” Wendy said.

June also loved to watch sport, with Wendy recalling that her mother would often refuse to answer phone calls whenever the tennis was on.
“She knew all the players and their stats, who had won what and when,” Wendy said.
“Surprisingly she loved watching motor sport, there was nothing like an afternoon of watching V8 Super Cars with mum, her favorite driver was Jamie Whincup.”
The ever-energetic grandmother spent 60 years of her life working as a nurse and 63 years happily married to wine grower Paddy Connor.
June will be missed sorely by her four children Wendy, Bruce, Helene and Vern and her seven grandsons Mitchell, Michael, Daniel, Jarvis, Declan, Riley and Ethan.
Grandson Declan said the thing he will remember the most about June is “how good she was to talk too and she never forgot our birthdays.”
“She always thought I was really smart and loved us a ton, she also made amazing sponge cakes,” said grandson Riley.
While grandson Ethan said he will remember “how lovely she was, she always called me Sparky and she loved having pizza with us.”
As one of nine siblings June will also be dearly missed by her eldest brother Len and her younger brother Barney.
Also her two surviving sisters Betty and Jackie to whom she was a mother figure.
“We loved our mum she had a generous loving spirit and was a loyal friend, she will forever live in our hearts,” Wendy said.
