The conference was aimed at inspiring the school students towards making the most of their talents and making a difference in the world.
Darlington Point Year 5 and Year 6 teacher Coleen Guest supervised the students on their trip to the Young Leaders conference.
Ms Guest said she was impressed by the high quality of the speakers who made it their mission to ensure the students left with the inspiration and drive to make a difference in the world.
Among those speaking was Tim Diamond the general manager of the Cotton On Foundation which aims to develop 20,000 educational places globally by 2020 to help end global poverty.
Ms Guest said Mr Diamond's speech reflected a central theme of the conference which was showing Australian children the challenges that other children in the developing world face.
Also speaking at the conference was children's author Tasmin Janu and Melbourne Stars cricketer Holy Ferling.
Ms Guest said the most popular speaker was by far Australian Olympic swimmer Cate Campbell.
"She was there with all her muscles, a lot of the kids are into swimming."
