Residents can avoid tosser status by ensuring rubbish does not leave their vehicles while driving.
The reminder has come as the Lions have installed two new 'hey tosser' signs along sections of the Kidman Way in an effort to remind drivers that even rubbish on the side of the road can be a danger to flora and fauna.
The new signs were put up after the Lions spent their Saturday morning working with Year 12 students and teachers from Coleambally Central School to clean up two 34 kilometre stretches of the Kidman Way.
Club secretary Maruice Boldiston said the signs were put up near the intersection of Four Corners Road and Waddi and were funded through the RMAJO Riverina Waste Group a voluntary group aiming to reduce waste across 44,000 square kilometres of land.
