Farrer League has been hit hard by player withdrawals with Nick Hull, Ben Absolum, Lenny Haddrill, Tom Yates, Jacob Turner and Cayden Winter already pulling out due to injury and unavailability.

Marrar premiership players Nick Molkentin, Brad Moye and Adam Whyte have been called into the squad, as have The Rock-Yerong Creek's Todd Hannam and North Wagga teenager Kane Flack.

Aiken admits the amount of withdrawals has been disheartening.

"I'm not sure if it's a lack of interest or what but it's fairly disappointing, especially when I gave everyone the opportunity at the start," Aiken said.

"It is what it is. I'm not going to cry over spilt milk. I just want blokes who want to be there. I'm going to focus on the blokes that want to be there and want to play."

As a result, Aiken is going to give a number of the Farrer League's young players at an opportunity at representative level.

Whyte, Flack, Marrar's Rhys Mooney, Temora's Will Reinhold and Coleambally's Jack Cullen are all teenagers who are in line to be selected for Farrer League.

Aiken is happy to go with youth.

"I'm going to play the kids and hopefully they get a taste for it," he said.

"Hopefully they are encouraged by it to play rep footy and we can build something."

Aiken is in his first year as Farrer representative coach as the league looks to bounce back from last year's 85-point loss to Riverina League.

While disappointed with the withdrawal of some of Farrer's biggest names, Aiken is confident there is still a lot of talent at his disposal.

"We're going to be pretty quick," he said.

"We're not going to be massive, we'll have enough size, but we're going to be a lot quicker than we were last year.

"I'm confident with the young blokes we've brought in too. They have been playing NEAFL with Giants, so at a higher level which will hold them in good stead."
