The Roosters took an early lead with Drew Hopwood able to find space out on the wing to score in the corner to give DPC a 4-0 lead after three minutes.

Ryan McGoldrick and Luke Hogan helped to extend their side's lead with two tries in two minutes before the Blueheelers were able to get two tries of their own with Moses Lolohea and James Dole to close the gap to four points 11 minutes before halftime.

Seven minutes before halftime Robbie Simpson was able to push the lead of the Roosters back out to 10 points before Todd Granger answered two minutes before the break to see DPC heading into the break with a 22-18 lead.

The Blueheelers would have been looking to score first in the second half to keep the pressure on the Roosters however a second try to Hopwood put visiting side up by eight points with 24 minutes gone in the second half.

The Roosters wrapped up their win with a try to Ethan Harris with 10 minutes remaining in the game secured the two points for DPC with a 34-18 win.

The result means DPC is now sitting level for the top spot on 10 points with Waratahs, West Wyalong and Yanco-Wamoon in a congested first-grade table.

Meanwhile, it was a good weekend for the reserve grade side who picked up a 46-6 win over the Blueheelers.

Tries to Frank Gras, Cassidy Evans, Jake Whyman and Josh Knight saw the Roosters head into halftime with a 28-0 lead.

Jack Mitchell scored the first try of the second half before Yenda answered with a try to Isaiah Little-Buerckner.

Evans scored his second of the game before Dion Curphey put the game to bed to see the Roosters come away with the 40-point win and stay unbeaten at the top of the reserve grade ladder.

The League tag side wasn't as fortunate as they fell to a 38-0 defeat while the under 18s fell 32-20.

This weekend will see the Roosters heading to Coleambally for the second time this season to take on West Wyalong on Sunday afternoon.
