A man will come before Griffith Local Court in July after he was caught trying to pass off a broken, duct-taped alcohol device as a mandatory interlock.

Murrumbidgee Highway Patrol officers pulled over the white Victorian registered Holden Colorado on Kidman Way in Hanwood at about 1pm on Tuesday.
The driver produced his licence, a current Victorian Class HC, identifying him as someone who had to have an alcohol Interlock fitted to his vehicle.
When asked if he had one fitted to his car, the driver produced a fake device.
Officers saw it was made up of a piece of wood wrapped in black electrical tape with a broken generic alcohol tester sticky taped to the wooden block.
Electrical wires were taped to the device and shoved underneath the dash plastics.
Officers also noted he had been living in NSW for more than the three month grace period and had not changed his licence over.
The fake device was seized and the man was given a court attendance notice for July.
