The boards, which were restored and added to by Paul Carroll and Paul Woodman, have been damaged after a vandal scratched names into the 2019 position.
The Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year award boards have been vandalised.
Australia Day committee member Penny Sheppard said the damage to the boards was "disappointing" and the committee has reported the matter to the police.
"This is the first time it has happened," Ms Sheppard said.
The damage comes as the nomination process for Coleambally's 2020 Australia Day awards have opened up, with those interested in nominating someone able to do so by picking up a nomination form at the Murrumbidgee Council office on Brolga Place.
Nominations will close at 5pm on January 6.
