AFL Riverina has confirmed the Farrer League season will begin on April 4, followed by a general bye for Easter.
The Riverina League will start on Saturday April 18, meaning its opening weekend will coincide with the NRL game in Wagga between Canberra Raiders and Newcastle Knights.
Both leagues will have a general bye on May 16 with the date reserved for representative football and netball.
The Farrer League finals series will get underway on August 22nd with the grand final to be held on Saturday September 12.
The Riverina League finals start on August 29 and will culminate in the premiership decider on Saturday September 19.
The Riverina League grand final is likely to again clash with the popular Ag Races at Murumbidgee Turf Club.
While weather and the clubs involved were also key factors, the Narrandera grand final was down almost 20 per cent on 2018, while the Wagga race meeting drew more than 7000 patrons.
AFL Riverina hopes to finalise the full season schedules in early December, with draft draws to go to clubs at a delegates meeting next week for feedback.
Clubs are also expected to be given an update on recommendations from the independent review into AFL Riverina.
