That's the simple message Murrumbidgee Police District's Commander Craig Ireland has for drivers thinking they can put the lives of others at risk by driving under the influence of alcohol.
"The tragic circumstances resulting in the loss of four young lives in Sydney recently received widespread coverage and highlights the deadly consequences of drink driving," Superintendent Ireland said.
In the past 48 hours, police officers have caught two drivers flouting the law.
At 6.30pm on Thursday, police stopped a 56-year-old man driving on Acacia Avenue in Leeton.
After failing a roadside breath test, he was taken to the station and returned a reading of 0.201 - four times the legal limit.
Officers say the man had difficulty standing while in police custody.
He was charged with high-range drink driving and for driving an unregistered vehicle.
Meanwhile at 12.30am on Friday, a 22-year-old woman was stopped on Shire Lane in West Wyalong.
Police say she admitted to driving "for about six hours" and returned a reading of 0.153 - three times the legal limit.
Her licence was suspended and she was charged with high-range drink driving.
Superintendent Ireland said drink driving was not acceptable and officers would be increasing their focus on drink drivers.
He said drivers were only more likely to crash when affected by alcohol, people in regional Australia were more likely to be involved in a fatal car crash.
"I am shocked and disappointed that people in our area continue to drink and drive," Superintendent Ireland said.
"It really is time for all members of our community to understand that drink driving is unacceptable.
"We will not tolerate this type of behaviour. If you drink and drive, you will be caught. Do not put your life or the lives of other innocent people at risk."
