St Patrick's Griffith student Taylor Serafin set a new mark in the 11 years boys 50m butterfly, eclipsing the Giants star's mark from 2008.
Mater Dei Catholic College's Abbie Donelan set a new record in the 11 years girls backstroke while Mater Dei set a new record in the senior boys relay.
Wet weather threatened the carnival but co-convener Anthony Hood was pleased the heavy rain held off.
"We were reluctant to put it on due to the weather but we held out and we're very pleased it's raining but not too heavy," Hood said.
"With a few record it shows it is still a very strong squad."
