So why wouldn't she team up with ageing rocker Billy Idol at a pre-Super Bowl show for almost 8000 vaccinated frontline workers?
The double act belted out Nightcrawling and White Wedding at the SuperBowl TikTokTailgate pre-show in Tampa, Florida.
Cyrus performed her unique version of Toni Basil's 1981 hit Mickey - changing the lyrics to Miley, of course - her own hit Prisoner and her much-appreciated cover of Blondie's Heart of Glass.
And if that wasn't enough, add in a clutch of sings with rock legend Joan Jett, and covers of Nine Inch Nails' Head Like a Hole, Bikini Kill's Rebel Girl and Dolly Parton's Jolene.
More of her own songs were served up, including an emotional rendition of Wrecking Ball.
Cyrus has long been a public admirer of Jett and Idol. She spoke during Jett's Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2015 and collaborated with idol a year later.
All in all it was far different to Idol's cringeworthy performance at the 2002 NRL grand final when power problems terminated his pre-game set before it began.
