Two people have been charged after police allegedly discovered about half-a-million dollars worth of ketamine in West Wyalong.

Police have charged 21-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man with importing a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug following an investigation into the importation of prohibited drugs in the region.
Murrumbidgee Police District Criminal Investigations Unit officers commenced an investigation in April to target the importation of ketamine within the district, with a focus on the West Wyalong area.

Officers on April 24 seized a package addressed to a unit in West Wyalong, which allegedly contained 3.8 kilograms of ketamine worth an estimated $500,000.
Police will allege the package was imported from overseas.
Police say their inquiries led them to execute a search warrant yesterday at a unit on Dumeresq Street in West Wyalong, where they arrested the woman and took her to the town's police station.
After further investigation, the man was arrested at a workplace at Lake Cowal a short time later.
The man and the woman were refused bail to appear at Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
