According to Dr Lowe's first declaration of material personal interests, his taxpayer-funded 15.4 per cent superannuation is paid to industry super fund Sunsuper, he dabbles in Telstra shares, and his only real estate is the family home at Randwick in Sydney's well-heeled east.

Dr Lowe has just one credit card with Commonwealth Bank, saves with CBA, UBank and ING, and has index funds with various issuers and managed funds with Vanguard and Colonial First State.

There are no directorships of companies or partnerships.

His only source of income is a salary of almost $1 million from the RBA, while his spouse brings home a salary from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.

Gifts are largely limited to dinners in exchange for a speech.

A bottle of Piper-Heidsieck Rare Millesime Champagne 2002 worth $289 from Qantas in 2019 was donated to the Reserve Bank benevolent fund.

The first declaration by deputy governor Guy Debelle, also published on the RBA website, is even more straightforward.

His superannuation is also with Sunsuper and calls Randwick home just like his boss, but has no shareholdings. The mortgage, credit card and savings are all with Westpac.
