Council is looking to determine if the community would prefer a youngster-friendly set up or if the bowl should be made more challenging, to cater to the region's more experienced skaters.
Director of infrastructure Tom Dimec says the bowl will be "around 20 to 30 metres in diameter and round in shape".
At this stage, the bowl will be located advacent to the existing skate spark in CWA Park, however council said it was open to discussion on putting it in other areas of the park.
