Whilst the 2020 show was cancelled due to the novel coronavirus, society President Brett Brown said he was excited to bring the much loved agriculture show to life again at the Griffith Showgrounds over the October long weekend.

The dog shows, tractor pulls, demolition derby, carnival games and rides are all full steam ahead. With fatty carnival foods, local produce and businesses all on display.

However if that isn't for you, there will be plenty of animals and produce on display with experts flying in from across the country to judge in competitions held throughout the course of the day.

Mr Brown said that the novelty dog show was his favourite and 'good fun'.

"We have categories for the smallest, largest, owner dog look alike, waggiest tale, most obedient, best biscuit catcher and for fancy dress" he said.

"So you know, the real serious stuff".

The schedule for these competitions will be released in the next few weeks and local farmers and growers and doggy owners will be able to enter online.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy a thrilling BMX show and a 20 minute fireworks spectacular to celebrate the close of the show.

In the past, the Griffith and Wagga shows have happened in close proximity to each other, meaning that not as many carnival rides make it to Griffith, however for the 2021 show this is not the case.

"I can't say much but we have some really exciting rides coming to our sideshow alley that haven't really been seen before" Mr Brown said.

"Sideshow alley will be absolutely chock a block, now that we get the whole lot of them."

However the show would not be able to go ahead without the tireless work from society volunteers, who spend many months preparing for the show.

Mr Brown said he would love to see more community members get involved.

"The more people involved, the less work it is for everyone. Even a couple of hours is a huge help" Mr Brown said.

"We would love to have more young people with fresh, new ideas get interested and volunteer too."
