A resident from outside of the District has tested positive to the virus in Griffith, and the source of the case is known, the MLHD reported on Saturday.

Contact tracers are currently working to identify locations of concern.

The new case is in isolation and will be included in tomorrow's NSW Health numbers.

The MLHD is encouraging anyone with even the mildest of symptoms to come forward for testing. Testing is available in Griffith at the Yambil Street testing clinic until 3pm today (Saturday) and until 3pm tomorrow (Sunday).

Meanwhile, one new location of concern has been identified in Wagga.

Anyone who was at the Caltex 131 Fernleigh Road on Thursday, September 30 between 12.10pm and 12.40pm is considered a casual contact and is required to get a COVID test and isolate until they receive a negative result.

Yesterday the Best Street Cafe in Wagga was listed as a venue of concern, with anyone who visited on September 30 between 8.45am and 10.00am also asked to come forward for testing.

There has been a total number of 43 cases in the MLHD during the current outbreak, and there has also been one death.

This includes 25 cases in the Hilltops LGA, nine in Albury, six in Edward River, one in Griffith, one in Federation and one in Wagga.
