On Thursday the MLHD reported 12 new cases of the virus, including five in the Griffith local government area (LGA).

Another three cases were reported in Wagga and three more in Albury LGA.

A single case was reported in the Murray River LGA.

Currently 98 per cent of MLHD residents over 16 have had their first dose of a COVID vaccine, and 94.5 per cent are fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, 84.2 per cent of those aged 12-15 in the MLHD have had their first dose and 74.4 per cent are double-dosed.

On Wednesday there were no new cases of COVID-19 in Wagga, with single cases recorded in the Snowy Valleys and Griffith LGAs. Just four cases were recorded across the district the day prior on Tuesday, including three in Wagga and one in Griffith.

The MLHD says the "vast majority" of COVID-19 patients across the district are being cared for via the hospital in the home program, with no patients currently in the ICU.

NSW Health will be contacting people diagnosed with COVID-19 and their close contacts directly, as well as those who need to follow specific health advice.

"If you receive a message from NSW Health, it is important that you follow the advice in that message," an MLHD spokesperson said.

Statewide, cases have increased again with 276 infections recorded on Thursday - up from 248 on Wednesday, and 173 on Tuesday.

No COVID-related deaths were reported on Thursday, with 92.1 per cent of NSW residents over 16 now fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, 94.4 per cent have had their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Vaccinations can be booked at more than 100 providers across the Riverina by using healthdirect.gov.au.

Testing in Griffith is available at the MLHD's Yambil Street testing clinic between 9.30am and 1.30pm daily, at Laverty Pathology's drive-through site at the Griffith Showground from 8am daily, and at the GP-led respiratory clinic at Your Health Griffith on Binyar Street between 9am and 6pm on Mondays, and 9am and 4.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

"Anyone currently experiencing, or who has recently experienced, even mild cold-like symptoms is asked to come forward for testing," an MLHD spokesperson said.

"If you have any symptoms it is important that you isolate until you can be tested and until you get a negative result.

"Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, sore throat, cough, headache, runny nose, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches or pains, and a change in taste or smell."
