Mr Warren has previously served as an Ambassador in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, travelling to regional communities, paraphrasing his family's bond to the bush.
At 2020 celebrations in Lockhart NSW, Mr Warren said he 'made a habit' of asking Australia Day organisers to send him to towns across the Riverina.
"This is where we come from. This area is near and dear to the Warren family. This is and always will be Wiradjuri Country it is now known widely as the Riverina," Mr Warren said.
"To live in Wiradjuri Country or the Riverina means you are living in the heartland of NSW I can't think of any area that brings with it the abundance of agriculture and livestock and the value this region brings to our mighty nation is massive."
Australia Day Council of NSW Chair, Andrew Parker, says the Ambassador Program is truly remarkable and unique, and this year's group are determined to offer hope to many.
"Community is the backbone of this state, we have seen this time and time again through the many challenges we have experienced as a nation," Mr Parker said.
"Australia Day is a time to support each other and more than ever before our Ambassadors will lead the charge this Australia Day.
"Regardless of our origins or our past, it's a day for Australians from all backgrounds and communities to come together, embrace our diversity, and celebrate our resilience."
