Murrumbidgee Council Mayor Ruth McRae thanked all those nominated for each category of the Australia Day awards, contributing to the community for the 'betterment of all'.
"Our children, our school leaders, our multi talented sporting individuals and teams, and also our selected citizens have all in their unique committed and generous way made a valuable and significant contribution," Councillor McRae said.
And whilst the ceremony was unable to be held in person due to ongoing coronavirus concerns, Murrumbidgee Council have high hopes to bring it back in 2023.
"It is our sincerest hope that celebrating Australia Day 2023 will see a return to how our individual towns love to do so," Cnr McRae said.
