Alistair Burge is in his second year of a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in International Studies at RMIT, Melbourne. In the next 12 months, he hopes to finish off his undergraduate degree and progress to a Master's degree. He has found the subjects fascinating, always changing and developing depending on what is happening globally and domestically. Alistair has found lectures with Joe Siracusa, a specialist in American politics and well-known political commentator, to be particular highlights of his course. He says his expertise on current issues is always interesting to hear. One of the challenges of the course this year has been to take up a language. Alistair has used his CDP CEF grant to assist with rent and purchase text books. He also received a Rural Grant scholarship from RMIT.
The CEF was established to provide much needed financial assistance and support to local youth to help them achieve their post high school education.
