Ms Lawrence is in the final semester of her Diploma of Enrolled Nursing at Griffith Riverina Institute of TAFE.
Just a four week placement stands between Ms Lawrence and the completion of her diploma.
She hoped to get a job in a hospital when she has finished.
Some of the highlights that Ms Lawrence has come across in the last six months include being able to go out on the job in the community and hospital setting.
The chance to work for a couple of weeks and learn from people working in the industry has helped reassure Ms Lawrence that nursing is what she wants to do.
She thoroughly enjoyed the chance to get some hands on experience.
Olivia truly feels that she is achieving her life dream of becoming a nurse.
Olivia has used her grant to help support her travel expenses and pay for accommodation costs when on placement.
The CEF was established to provide much needed financial assistance and support to local youth to help them achieve their post high school education.
Applications are now open for Coleambally-Darlington Point Country Education Fund 2016 round of grants.
The closing date for applications is Friday, November 20, 2015.
