The annual Riverina Fishing Classic is done and dusted for another year.
Almost 500 competitors turned out over the three days which included 132 juniors who all received a prize if they entered and another if they caught a fish.
More important than anything, $20,000 was raised and donated to Motor Neurone Disease Support & Research.
The winners were:
Biggest Carp: 73cm Jayde Martin.
Golden Carp: junior girl - 44cm Savanah Reynolds, junior boy - 48cm Brodie Kenningale, senior female - 50cm Heather Lando, senior male - 50cm Trent Royston.
Cod - junior girl - 60cm Makayla Newman, junior boy - 87cm Brodie Kenningale, senior female - 81cm Kylie Fraser, senior male - 89cm Andrew Woods, junior Champion - Brodie Kenningale, senior Champion - Jack Smith. Griffith Northside Leagues Fishing Club was the best represented club.
Organiser Pete Smith said it was a great weekend.
“The fact that we raised so much money for MND speaks volumes of the event.
“I hope it’s even better next year,” he said.
