The mercury dropped to -1.4 degrees on Friday night and barely reached 2.9 on Saturday at 9am. Then overnight it was -0.8 and 2.9 degrees at 9am on Sunday, leaving Griffith residents reaching for their gloves and beanies and trying to stay indoors.
This drop in temperature was the coldest so far this winter.
