Ted Hill who is a resident at Cypress View was the man with the dedication to look after a duck egg over the last few months and on Thursday, September 15 became a proud new father of a duckling.
Plucka, as the duck has become known at the centre, is now growing quickly and being spoiled by Mr Hill and the other residents and staff at Cypress View.
Mr Hill has now moved on to looking after some chicken eggs hoping to have the same result.
The duck is the fourth animal at the Lodge joining two chickens, a bird and a relatively new addition, a border collie named Suki.
