After taking out the second grade title in the Griffith District Cricket the Coleambally Nomads are looking to build on that success.
Last year’s captain of the Nomads, Simon Mackie, said the side is confident they can show the same form.
“We are having our first training run of the season tonight,” he said.
“At this stage I’m fairly confident about the line-up that we will have. It’s the same issue you have when the season starts you are just not 100 per cent sure who will be there week-in, week-out.”
Coly are again aiming to put a side in a second and third grade team. Last season the third grade team ended the season at the semi finals after losing to Leagues.
“You might also see some local boys step up to firsts,” Mackie said.
“That’s the good thing about our partnership with Exies it gives the boys that want to test themselves in first grade the opportunity to do so.”
The season gets under way on Saturday, October 8 when Coly’s third grade team takes on Leagues at Coly 1.
