After making the brave decision to send the Nomads in after winning the toss, Hanwood made an early impact as Shannon Caughey (2/6) removing Lachlan Vogan (1) and Sam Breed (1) to reduce Coly to 2/5.
Jack Weymouth-Smith (27) was the only Nomad to make an impact on the scoreboard as accurate bowling from Chris Barbagallo (2/18), Daniel Febo (2/7) and Luke Catanzariti (2/7) ripped through the batting line up to see Coly bowled out for 57 in 26.4 overs.
Quick wickets were key if the Nomads were to have any hope of getting a win and were able to put Hanwood on the back foot early as Neil Geltch (1), and Morgan Tiere (0) fell to the bowling of Sam Breed (2/9) while Shaun Iddles (1/14) dismissed Reed Bunyan (1).
Daniel Febo (11) and Teei Piawi (19) got Hanwood into a match-winning position before two quick wickets from Mitchell Wiseman (2/14), and then Shane Taylor (2/5) gave the Nomads a fighting chance.
Kym Wheeler (2*) and Caughey (1*) were able to steer their side to a two-wicket win with 13.4 overs remaining.
In the Friday night game between Diggers and Leagues, a consistent batting effort from the Diggers put them in a strong position after winning the toss.
Mark Favell (13) and Michael Duncan (34) got their side off to a decent start with a 36-run stand before Jackson Hassan (2/30), and Jack Johnson (2/32) struck to remove the openers and Brendan Wade (1).
Leon Vico (25), Brett Owen (22) and Jack Favell (24) added key middle-order runs before the full tosses from Matt Kennan (4/36) proved tough for the Diggers lower order batsmen to deal with as they were bowled out for 156.
Despite the loss of Derek Opo (2) early, Leagues looked to be in a good position with Ben Jones (13) and Kennan (9) before a miscommunication brought about their downfall. The introduction of Mark Favell (6/16) was the final nail in the coffin for Leagues as they were bowled out for just 56.
In the final game of the between Exies and Yenda, four wickets from Jimmy Nancarrow was the difference maker. Nancarrow removed Simon Spiers (4) and Zac Rudiger (3) to put the Jets on the backfoot. Peter Longford (15), Jesse Wade-Ryan (15) and Mark McLean (11) added much-needed runs as Yenda posted 66 off 32 overs.
Exies chase was led by Dan Brady (34*) and Rodney Bordin (13*) while Jesse Wade-Ryan picked up the three wickets as Exies came away with a seven-wicket win 20.2 overs remaining.
