The Roosters needed to pick up points if they were to keep their slim final chances alive as at kickoff they were sitting six points behind the fifth placed Yanco-Wamoon side.
A double from Jai Lyons and a try each to Sam Bartter and Johnny Walker wasn’t quite enough as two tries from Robert Simpson and one each to Jarrad Williams, Sandon Gibbs-O’Neill, Sterling Ross and Brent Pike saw the Sharks come away with a 14-point win.
The reserve grade side continue to fly the flag for the Roosters after they took a 36-16 win over the Sharks.
A double to Tony Leadbitter and Joshua Knight was enough to lift their side to a win which keeps them in the hunt for a second chance come finals time.
It was a tougher time for the League Tag side who are still searching for the first win of the season and once again fell 28-0 to the visiting Sharks side.
DPC will look to take advantage of Hay coming to town next weekend with the Magpies still looking to pick up there first win in over 18 months.
If the Roosters do want to climb into the five they will need to win as many games as possible of the remaining seven games.
