The C grade side played its best game for the season but still narrowly missed winning its first game for the year, going down by one goal 29 to 30.
Colleen Mader was voted by her team mates as player’s player for her accurate shooting, while Sarah Graham who has continued to show significant improvement, was given the umpire’s choice award.
In another close game, the B grade side was also unlucky not to take the win going down by only three goals.
All members put in their best efforts, playing competitively as a team, and showed vast improvement all over the court.
Under 15’s players Sally Foster and Giaan Cullen joined the B grade side for the first time – due to player absences – and played outstanding games, demonstrating determination and skill in their respective positions on the court.
Giaan was voted as player’s player while Hannah Carroll who continues her dominance in the shooting circle was made umpire’s choice for the game.
The A grade side also put in a great effort against a strong Saints outfit going down 51 to 63.
Lauren Pound was chosen as Colemabally’s best on court by the umpires for yet another great game in the shooting circle, while her shooting partner Hannah Buchanan was voted as player’s player.
The under 11’s had a comfortable win over the Griffith red side who were a little short on numbers for the day.
Two of our Coly girls helped the Swans out allowing them to take the court with a full team.
Lisa Strachan and Kaylee Filmer took home the weekly awards for their sportsmanship.
A great first half was played by the under 13’s – attacking and defending well – however in the third quarter the Swans took a commanding lead making it difficult for the junior blues to catch the final score 10 to 20.
Elanor Pretty was chosen for the coaches award for her efforts and Zoe Rowan, who put on a good display of netball, was awarded the club award.
The youngest members of the netball club travelled to Griffith on Sunday to take part in the under 9’s first gala day.
All the girls enjoyed their day of netball over the weekend, and put their developing skills and knowledge into practice.
