A new fete and movie night is aiming to raise money so the school can buy new playground equipment for its students.
Fete coordinator Julie Bellato said the night offers a little something for everyone.
“Its main purpose is as a fundraiser for new playground equipment for the children, as well being as a fun event for families and others from the area,” she said.
“We’d really love people to come over and support our little town. We’re trying to make it a real country fair vibe.”

Plenty of activities are on offer including rock-climbing, face painting, sumo wrestling, ice-cream and a jumping castle and trampoline.
“We’ve got a special chocolate wheel for the adults as well … We’re bringing back an old event for the community. We’re hoping people from the solar farm or people in town to come down and help us out.”
Movie tickets will also offer options for general admission or the option of a three-tiered VIP section.
“If you want to spoil yourself, you can buy a VIP tickets. Bronze section has general chairs lined up in a threatre. Silver section will be bistro outdoor setting with a little table and gold class is cool inflatable lounges," she said.
“I’d also like to thank all of the businesses who have gotten behind us for this event.”
The outdoor movie night and fete will be taking place on Friday, September 14 at St Peter’s School. Fete festivities kick off at 5pm. The movie will start at 7pm. Tickets are available from the school on (02) 6954 4178 or http://stpetersfeteandoutdoormovienight.floktu.com
